About the Therapist
Holly Stevens, M.A., CCC-SLP has been practicing since 2006 and has extensive experience supporting children from early childhood through adolescence across school settings, early intervention, hospital settings and private practice. She specializes in AAC, autism, and early communication development, with a particular passion for helping emerging and non-speaking communicators find meaningful ways to express themselves. Holly’s primary goal is to ensure every child feels heard, understood, and empowered—while helping families feel confident and supported throughout the process.
CorePaths Speech Therapy provides individualized, evidence-based services designed to support speech clarity, language development, AAC use, and functional communication. With a warm, family-centered approach, Holly focuses on building connection, engagement, and communication skills that truly make a difference in daily life. Whether you’re seeking early communication support for a young child, exploring AAC options, or looking for specialized therapy for a child on the autism spectrum, CorePaths is dedicated to fostering genuine progress, confidence, and communication that feels authentic to each child.
The name CorePaths reflects Holly’s belief that every communicator has a unique path—and that communication grows from a strong core. The word “Core” represents not only the foundational elements of communication such as connection, regulation, and shared joy, but also the importance of core vocabulary in AAC. Core vocabulary words—flexible, high-frequency words that allow children to express a wide range of ideas—create far more meaningful communication opportunities than fringe vocabulary alone. “Paths” symbolizes the individualized journeys children take as they build these foundational skills and develop communication in their own ways and at their own pace. Together, CorePaths captures Holly’s mission to support communication that is functional, expressive, and truly empowering.
From an early age, Holly understood how difficult it can feel when your thoughts and feelings aren’t fully understood. That personal insight—combined with the incredible children she has supported over the years—shaped her belief that communication should reflect who we are, not who others expect us to be. As a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with experience across schools, early intervention programs, and private clinical settings, Holly has seen firsthand that communication takes many forms. Some children use words, some use gestures, some rely on AAC, and many use a combination of modalities. What matters most is that every communicator is respected and given authentic opportunities to connect.
Through CorePaths, Holly’s mission is to help families discover pathways to meaningful communication—guided by compassion, collaboration, and the philosophy of presumed competence. Every partnership is grounded in professionalism, trust, and the belief that communication is not a privilege—it’s a human right.
